Here is a list of fluids you should be checking:

Engine

• • The dipstick has markings that indicate levels. It is important to keep the oil at proper levels because the engine oil lubricates and protects the engine from metal on metal contact. 

Transmission

• • Check the fluids when the car is running or fully warmed up

Radiator/cooling system

• • Don’t forget to turn off your vehicle and wait until the car has cooled down to check the coolant fluids.

Brakes

• • The plastic container has easy to read fill level lines.

Power Steering

• • This looks similar to the brake fluids, but it will have lines for hot and cold engine levels.

Window washer

• • This can remain low or full.
