Liability insurance does
not cover the theft of your car. Liability insurance only covers *bodily injury* or *property damage* that you cause to *others* while operating your vehicle. It doesn't cover damage or loss to your own car.
To cover theft (and other types of damage or loss to your vehicle), you need comprehensive auto insurance.
