Halloween is around the corner. It’s fantastic when the stores are packed with Halloween merchandise. Everyone wishes they could spend every day strolling the aisles, collecting treasures, and taking them home to create their own eerie sanctuary. Knowing how you want to dress for Halloween was half the battle. The other half was picking the right sport to get spooky or spooked.
Since the last couple of years, the idea of trick-or-treating is getting increasingly bleak for children with all the pandemic situations going on. They have to follow certain “rules,” and that throws fun off the table for kids. Since it’s a matter of their safety, we are forced to oblige.
Even with a mask, the old Halloween favorite — the haunted house — which used to be a terrifying site any year, unfortunately, doesn’t feel comfortable or exciting anymore. We can’t blame anyone as we feel stuck in a loop since the end of 2019. Covid is kind of a real Halloween for all of us. But hey, what if we say that you guys can still get the chills and scream your lungs out without compromising your safety and family. There is something that guarantees everyone a terrifyingly fantastic time: the drive-through car wash. It’s time to get some real “Shining.” Of course, we are referring to adding that shine to your car (*wink wink*).
Last year many car wash owners came up with their own versions of car washes, and they were quite successful. For all those curious souls who are not aware of hunted car washes, here is some info for you to get started with.
Haunted car Wash advertises itself as giving those brave enough to enter a good scare as well as a clean car. The volunteers or car wash professionals dress up as ghouls, creepy clowns, or any spooky character and character are those in the car by pounding on and getting close to the windows. It’s dark inside the car wash, and there are strobe lights and flashing lights as part of the spectacle. You will be staying in your cars throughout the whole process as you do on normal car washes. You are very much safe unless you open your windows.
For your note, these haunted car wash tunnels are COVID- friendly. And they will open on the Halloween season around 7-9 pm for $10. The time and money may differ according to the car wash of your choice.
When a driver enters the tunnel and shifts into neutral, the car wash mechanism takes over, and the driver must relinquish all control to the haunted car wash. That’s when things start to get interesting.
You may come across Pennywise the Clown from Stephen King’s It, or Jason from Friday the 13th, or Michael Myers from Halloween. Maybe a chainsaw wielded by someone with a bunny head, for your surprise. It’s better to revisit some horror movies so that you can reckon the spooky predator in the tunnel waiting for you. And, obviously, you’ll drive away with a clean car.
So, this Halloween, get the Way app, search for the nearest haunted car wash, turn in, and start rolling into fears that will surely make you jump out of your seat. And don’t forget to sing along Hush, Hush, Hush, Here Comes the Bogeyman!
