Tata Nexon gets feature updates

As the trend of up-gradation and face-lift in auto industry hits Indian market, the competition in compact SUV segment surely seems to be heating up this year after the launch of two new entrants.

Now, Tata Nexon compact SUV has been updated with a bunch of new features, as indicated by a recently leaked document. The Nexon gets a makeover and an increase in price of approximately Rs 11,000 across the board. The SUV price now span from Rs 6.58 lakh for the base petrol-manual to Rs 11.00 lakh for the top-end diesel-automatic.

Tata Nexon feature updates introduce changes to non-touchscreen infotainment system in terms of improvements to screen front on the XM, XMA and XT trims while the antenna length has also been increased. These trims along with the XZ trim also gets a dashboard mid pad colour upgrade with the colour changed from Silver to a Warn Grey with a glossy finish.

In the higher variants like the XT, XZ, XZ+, and XZA+ you can see the car with a set of new roof rails, and the rear air vents have been upgraded to rear AC vents now.

Presently, Nexon comes with a 1.2L turbocharged petrol and 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine generating power worth 110bhp. Transmissions on offer are a 6-speed manual and an AMT unit.

Last week, Tata Motors announced the introduction of two new Automatic (AMT) variants for its Tigor – the XMA and the XZA+. These two new trims, stacked with premium features and effortless mobility of an Automatic will carry forward the style quotient of the Tigor. The XMA and XZA+ will be priced INR 6.39 Lakhs and INR 7.24 Lakhs, (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively.

The two new trims will be offered with a 1.2L Revotron petrol engine and will be available in all colours the Tigor is currently offered in – Egyptian Blue, Roman Silver, Espresso Brown, Berry Red, Pearlescent White and Titanium Grey.
