Nissan Kicks Street Sport unveiled at SEMA Show

Nissan has unveiled the European Kicks-based turbocharged concept at the SEMA Show. The SEMA Show is a yearly modified vehicle show held at Las Vegas that pulls in vehicle modifiers and embellishments organizations from around the world.

The showcased Kicks, called the Street Sport, has received extensive modifications, including wide-body kit, 17-inch lightweight racing wheels, Nismo sports exhaust and Sparco seats inside the cabin. Under the bonnet, the SUV is going to have a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol motor with a turbocharger kit, along with a new ECU.

The company has not revealed any performance figures but you can safely expect it to make more than the stock engine’s 124hp and 155Nm of torque.

Nissan Kicks was launched in India early this year as a rival to the likes of the Hyundai CretaRenault CapturTata Harrier and newer entries such as the MG Hector and Kia Seltos.

Vice President and Marketing, Nissan Motor India Pvt, Sriram Padmanabhan said, “The new Nissan KICKS has generated a positive response from SUV enthusiasts from across the country. Responding to the immense interest in an entry-level diesel variant, we have introduced the new XE Diesel trim. The feature-rich new XE Diesel Trim offers a great value proposition to the consumers while ensuring best-in-class services and quality assurance.”

Features including geo-fencing, speed alert, curfew alert, Locate My Car and Share My Car Location address the rising concerns regarding the safety & security of car users along with the control & well-being of the vehicle. Keyless entry and push-stop-start via intelligent Key, and ‘Lead Me to Car’, which guide passengers to their cars, make the drive experience more convenient.
