1. Park your car on level ground and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down for at least 10 minutes before attempting to add antifreeze.
2. Open the hood of your car and locate the coolant reservoir. The coolant reservoir is usually a clear or translucent plastic tank with a cap that has the words "coolant" or "antifreeze" written on it.
3. Remove the cap from the coolant reservoir. Be careful not to spill any of the coolant that is already in the reservoir.
4. Add antifreeze to the coolant reservoir until the level reaches the "full" mark on the side of the reservoir. If there is no "full" mark, add antifreeze until the level is about halfway between the top and bottom of the reservoir.
5. Replace the cap on the coolant reservoir and close the hood of your car.
That's it! You have now successfully added antifreeze to your car.
Tips for adding antifreeze to a car:
* Use a 50/50 mixture of antifreeze and water.
* Do not add straight antifreeze to your car, as this can damage your engine.
* If you live in a cold climate, use a heavy-duty antifreeze that is rated for temperatures below freezing.
* Check the coolant level in your car regularly and add antifreeze as needed.
