Are motorhome loans recourse or non-recourse in California?
Motorhomes that are used for recreational purposes are typically financed with non-recourse loans in California. This means that the lender cannot pursue the borrower for any deficiency remaining after the motorhome is sold if the borrower defaults on the loan. In other words, the lender's only recourse in the event of a default is to repossess and sell the motorhome, and the borrower is not personally liable for any shortfall between the proceeds of the sale and the outstanding balance of the loan.
