To turn off the passenger airbag on a Mercedes A-Class:

1. Switch on the ignition.

2. Press the menu button on the right side of the dashboard.

3. Turn the dial below the button until a picture of one car with an X through another smaller car pops up on the dashboard between your two front gauges

4. Press to select this display.

5. The next display over should turn into a car seat with a child seated within the seat

6. Press this icon.

7. Switch off the ignition
