2. Remove the shift knob. If your Ranger has a manual transmission, simply unscrew the shift knob. If your Ranger has an automatic transmission, you'll need to pry up the shift knob cover and then unscrew the shift knob.
3. Remove the console trim. There are four screws that hold the console trim in place. Two of the screws are located at the front of the console, and two are located at the rear.
4. Lift up the console. Once the screws are removed, you can lift up the console and remove it from the vehicle.
5. Disconnect the electrical connectors. There are two electrical connectors that need to be disconnected from the console. One connector is located at the front of the console, and the other is located at the rear.
6. Remove the console. Once the electrical connectors are disconnected, you can remove the console from the vehicle.
