How do you find gear ratio for your vehicle?

The gear ratio of a vehicle can be found by dividing the number of teeth on the ring gear by the number of teeth on the pinion gear. The ring gear is the large gear that is attached to the differential, while the pinion gear is the smaller gear that is attached to the driveshaft.
