How often Do you need to add freon your car?

Freon, also known as refrigerant, should rarely need to be added to a well-maintained car. Freon is a closed system and typically lasts as long as the car itself. Adding freon may only be needed in uncommon circumstances, such as:

- Repair or replacement of any component in the air conditioner system (like a compressor or hoses).

- A component has developed a leak.

- The vehicle is older and the freon levels may have naturally depleted.

It is important to consult with a qualified mechanic if suspect there may be a problem with the air conditioning system. They can properly diagnose and rectify the issue, including determining if adding freon is necessary. It's not recommended to add freon on your own as improper handling of refrigerants can be hazardous.
