How do you replace a Porsche 944 factory radio What wire will hold memory in the new radio?

To replace a Porsche 944 factory radio, you will need the following tools:

* A Phillips head screwdriver

* A flat head screwdriver

* A wire cutter/stripper

* Electrical tape

* A new car stereo

Removing the Factory Radio

1. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the battery.

2. Remove the two Phillips head screws that hold the radio in place.

3. Pull the radio out of the dash, being careful not to damage any of the wiring.

4. Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the radio by pressing down on the release tab.

Installing the New Radio

1. Connect the wiring harness to the back of the new car radio.

2. Slide the new car stereo into the dash and secure it with the two Phillips head screws.

3. Reconnect the battery.

Note: The wire that holds memory in the new radio is usually the yellow wire. This wire should be connected to the constant power source in your car.
