To access the battery, you will need to:
1. Remove the driver's seat.
1. Pull up on the rear of the seat to unhook it from the front.
2. Slide the seat forward and lift it off the motorcycle.
2. Locate the battery.
The battery is located in a black plastic case under the driver's seat.
3. Disconnect the battery cables.
1. Use a wrench to loosen the negative (black) battery cable first, then the positive (red) cable.
4. Remove the battery from the motorcycle.
1. Once the battery cables have been disconnected, you can lift the battery out of the motorcycle.
5. Install the new battery.
1. Place the new battery in the motorcycle.
2. Connect the positive (red) battery cable first, then the negative (black) cable.
6. Replace the driver's seat.
1. Slide the seat onto the motorcycle and hook the front of the seat into place.
2. Push down on the rear of the seat until it is secure.
