* From the inside of the cab: There's usually a release lever either on the driver's side or center console. It's often near the gear shift or on the armrest.
* From the tailgate: The tailgate itself has a handle that you pull to open it.
* With the key fob (remote): Most Silverado models have a button on the key fob that will unlock and release the tailgate. Check your owner's manual for the exact button location and functionality.
* Manually with the key: If all else fails, you should be able to use your key to unlock the tailgate. The key cylinder is usually located on the driver's side of the tailgate.
