* Rear of the Engine Block: Often several are found on the back of the engine block, near the transmission. Accessing these usually requires partial disassembly of the exhaust system and possibly some other components.
* Side of the Engine Block: There might also be one or more located on the sides of the engine block, potentially hidden behind the engine mounts or other parts.
Important Note: You shouldn't need to locate freeze plugs unless you're performing engine repair or replacement. If you're suspecting a leak, it's best to have a qualified mechanic diagnose the problem before attempting to access these plugs. They are not easily accessible and attempting to replace them without experience could cause more damage.
