* Under the hood in the fuse box: This is a common location for relays. The fuse box is usually located near the battery. Look for a diagram on the inside of the fuse box lid to identify the blower motor relay.
* Inside the passenger compartment fuse box (usually under the dash): Some Tahoes place it inside the cabin. Again, consult the diagram inside the fuse box cover.
* Behind the glove box: Less common, but possible.
To find it definitively:
1. Consult your owner's manual: This is the best place to start. The manual should have a diagram of the fuse and relay box layouts.
2. Use a wiring diagram: A wiring diagram specific to your year and model Tahoe will show you the exact location and the part number of the relay. You can often find these online through auto parts websites or repair manuals.
Without the proper documentation, visually identifying the relay by its appearance alone is risky. Relays look similar, and incorrectly replacing one could damage other components.
