Each and every year more electric vehicles (EVs) are released from just about every manufacturer. Car makers are responding to the rising demand as well as emission targets.
In fact, there were over 300,000 EVs sold in 2019 per EIA. Analysts, such as EV Adoption, predict there will be close to 500,000 EVs sold in 2020 and nearly 700,000 in 2021. This significant year over year increase is expected to continue as EVs become the preferred powertrain of consumers.
In terms of new models, there were a total of 10 new electric cars in 2020. Notable cars were the Tesla Model Y, Volkswagen ID.4, and Mustang Mach-E.
For 2021, there are an estimated 26 new models. The below list features the most anticipated new electric cars for 2021.
