Where does the speedometer cable connect on transmission of a 1976 jeep dj-5 rhd?

On a 1976 Jeep DJ-5 RHD (right-hand drive), the speedometer cable connects to the output shaft of the transfer case, not directly to the transmission. The transfer case houses the mechanism that drives the speedometer. You'll find a square or possibly a slightly different shaped fitting on the output shaft of the transfer case where the cable connects.
