1. Consult your owner's manual: This is the most reliable source of information specific to your vehicle's year and model. The manual will have diagrams and clearly show the location of the dipstick.
2. Look around the passenger side of the engine: Once you're in the engine compartment, look carefully near the transmission. The dipstick often has a distinctive handle or a coloured cap to help it stand out.
Important Note: Some newer vehicles don't even have a dipstick for the transmission fluid. If you can't locate a dipstick, it's best to take your Jeep to a qualified mechanic for a fluid check and service. Adding too much transmission fluid can damage your transmission.
