* Radiator: This is the most obvious place. The radiator cap is usually located at the front of the engine compartment, on top of the radiator. Be very careful when opening the radiator cap as the coolant system is under pressure when hot. Always allow the engine to cool completely before opening it.
* Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir: This is usually a plastic container, often with a blue cap, located somewhere in the engine compartment. It's used for the windshield wipers.
* Battery: Some batteries require the addition of distilled water to maintain their electrolyte level. Check your battery's markings to see if it's a maintenance-free battery (most modern ones are) or if it needs topping off with water. If it does, it will have small fill caps on top. Always use distilled water for this.
It's crucial to only add the appropriate fluid to each location. Never add water to the windshield washer reservoir unless it is clearly marked for that. Mixing different types of coolant can damage your engine. If you're unsure, consult your owner's manual.
