To find them, you'll need to:
1. Consult a repair manual: A Haynes or Chilton manual specific to your year and model will have diagrams showing the precise location of the oxygen sensors. This is the most reliable method.
2. Use an online parts diagram: Many auto parts websites (like AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, etc.) allow you to look up your vehicle and see diagrams showing sensor placement. Enter your VIN for best accuracy.
3. Visually inspect the exhaust manifold: Look for the wires leading from the sensors; they are usually shielded. They'll be near the exhaust manifold, close to where the exhaust gases exit the engine.
Caution: The exhaust manifold gets extremely hot. Allow the engine to cool completely before attempting to locate or work on the oxygen sensor. Wear appropriate safety gear, including gloves.
