Where is the Rear end differential on a dodge ram 1500?

The rear differential on a Dodge Ram 1500 is located underneath the truck, at the rear axle. It's essentially the very back part of the vehicle, in line with the rear wheels. You'll see a large, roughly cylindrical housing with a driveshaft connected to it. Access to it usually requires getting underneath the truck.
