Where is the 2001 Ford Taurus exhaust manifold located?

The exhaust manifold on a 2001 Ford Taurus is located underneath the engine, near the cylinder head. More specifically, it's on the bottom of the engine, typically towards the front depending on which side of the engine the manifold is feeding (the passenger side and driver side will both have one). You'll need to get underneath the car to see it. Because it's part of the exhaust system and close to hot components, it's crucial to let the engine cool completely before attempting any work around it.
