3. Release the Latch:
Once you've found the latch mechanism, you need to figure out how to disengage it. This is often a simple lever or a catch. You can try the following:
* Using a long, thin tool: A coat hanger, a long screwdriver, or even a flexible cable will be useful to reach and manipulate the latch. Try gently probing and moving the latch components. You may need to apply some slight pressure or leverage to disengage it.
* Feeling for a release point: Carefully feel the latch for any points of release. You might find a small tab, lever, or clip you can push or pull.
