To find it:
1. Locate the underhood fuse box: This is usually a large black plastic box located near the battery, often on the driver's side fender well.
2. Open the fuse box cover: You'll likely need to remove a cover to access the relays and fuses.
3. Consult the fuse box diagram: The inside of the cover should have a diagram showing the location of each fuse and relay. Look for the relay labeled "Fuel Pump," "EFI," or something similar. Sometimes it's not explicitly labeled "Fuel Pump" but will be a relay associated with the fuel injection system.
4. If you can't find it on the diagram: A search online for "1998 Chevy S10 fuse box diagram" will yield images of the diagram. You can then compare this to the physical diagram in your truck.
Important Note: If you're having fuel pump issues, simply swapping relays is a good troubleshooting step, but it doesn't guarantee you've found the problem. The relay itself could be faulty, or the problem could lie elsewhere in the fuel system (fuel pump, wiring, etc.).
