Where do you put transmission fluid at in a 2004 ford explore xlt 4.0 2wd?

The 2004 Ford Explorer XLT 4.0L 2WD has a transmission fluid dipstick. You'll find it on the transmission itself. It's usually a long, thin dipstick with markings for the "ADD" and "FULL" levels. Locate the transmission (it's a fairly large component in the engine bay towards the rear) and look for the dipstick sticking out of the top or side. It's often marked with a symbol resembling a gear or the letter "T".

Important Note: Before adding any fluid, make sure the engine is running and the transmission is at its operating temperature (check your owner's manual for specific instructions). Only add transmission fluid that meets the specifications for your vehicle (refer to your owner's manual). Adding the wrong type can damage your transmission.
