A Chevy 4.3L Vortec V6 will *not* fit directly into a Dodge 1500 V6 single cab without significant modifications. The engine mounts, transmission mounts, and the overall engine bay dimensions are completely different between the two makes and models. You'd be looking at a very extensive and likely impractical swap. It would require custom fabrication of motor mounts, potentially modification of the firewall and possibly the transmission tunnel, and reworking the wiring harness and computer systems.
