Where is the cabin air filter located on a 2003 Chevy 1500HD?

The 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500HD (and most likely the 2500HD as well, as they share many components) does not have a cabin air filter as standard equipment. This was not a common feature on vehicles of that year and model. Adding one would require aftermarket installation.
