Are holden and Chevrolet the same?

Holden and Chevrolet are related but not exactly the same. Holden was a subsidiary of General Motors (GM), and for many years, they rebadged and sometimes slightly modified Chevrolet vehicles for the Australian market. However, they also developed some unique models.

Think of it this way: they shared a parent company and often shared platforms and some designs, but they weren't identical twins. Holden had its own distinct branding, marketing, and sometimes even engineering differences. Since 2020, Holden no longer produces new vehicles, so the distinction is now purely historical.
