* A new manual transmission
* A clutch
* A flywheel
* A driveshaft
* A bell housing
* A shifter
* Transmission fluid
* Gear oil
* Various tools, including wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, and pliers
Step 2: Remove the automatic transmission
* Drain the transmission fluid.
* Disconnect the transmission lines.
* Remove the driveshaft.
* Remove the bell housing bolts.
* Lower the transmission from the car.
Step 3: Install the flywheel
* Clean the flywheel mounting surface.
* Apply a thin coat of sealant to the flywheel mounting surface.
* Install the flywheel bolts and tighten them to the specified torque.
Step 4: Install the clutch
* Clean the clutch disc and pressure plate.
* Apply a thin coat of grease to the splines of the input shaft.
* Install the clutch disc on the input shaft.
* Install the pressure plate on the clutch disc.
* Tighten the clutch bolts to the specified torque.
Step 5: Install the transmission
* Clean the transmission mounting surfaces.
* Apply a thin coat of sealant to the transmission mounting surfaces.
* Install the transmission bolts and tighten them to the specified torque.
Step 6: Install the driveshaft
* Install the driveshaft and tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
Step 7: Install the shifter
* Remove the automatic shifter.
* Install the manual shifter.
* Adjust the shifter linkage.
Step 8: Fill the transmission with fluid
* Add the specified amount of transmission fluid to the transmission.
Step 9: Test the transmission
* Start the car and let it run for a few minutes.
* Shift the transmission through all of the gears.
* Make sure that the transmission shifts smoothly and that there are no leaks.
