Are 1994 and 1999 Cherokee motors interchangeable?

The 1994 and 1999 Cherokee motors are not interchangeable. The 1994 Cherokee used the 4.0L inline-six engine, while the 1999 Cherokee used the 4.7L V8 engine. The two engines have different bolt patterns, mounting points, and electrical connections. Additionally, the 1994 Cherokee used a different transmission and transfer case than the 1999 Cherokee.
