- The vehicle speed sensor is located on the rear of the transmission, just below the torque converter.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
- Remove the bolt that holds the sensor in place.
- Remove the sensor from the transmission.
4WD:
- The vehicle speed sensor is located on the rear of the transfer case, just above the output shaft.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
- Remove the two bolts that hold the sensor in place.
- Remove the sensor from the transfer case.
