How fast could cars from go?

Cars from the early 1900s were typically capable of reaching speeds of around 20-30 miles per hour (32-48 km/h). As technology advanced through the decades, speeds progressively increased. By the 1920s, some production cars could reach upwards of 80 miles per hour (129 km/h), but most would still travel within the 30 to 40 miles per hour (48 to 64 km/h) range. By the end of the 1930s, high-performance models of several sports cars boasted top speeds that could reach speeds around 100 miles per hour (161 km/h), further surpassing those of ordinary consumer vehicles.
