1. Park your Civic in a well-lit area and turn off the engine.
2. Open the trunk of your Civic.
3. Locate the license plate light housing on either side of the license plate.
4. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry open the lens cover of the license plate light housing.
5. Once the lens cover is removed, you will see the light bulb socket.
6. Turn the light bulb socket counterclockwise to unlock it.
7. Pull the light bulb socket straight out of the housing.
8. Remove the old light bulb from the socket by gently pulling on it.
9. Insert the new light bulb into the socket and push it in until it clicks into place.
10. Reinsert the light bulb socket into the housing and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.
11. Replace the lens cover and close the trunk of your Civic.
Your license plate light should now be working properly.
