2. Remove the hose clamp. The hose clamp is located at the top of the thermostat housing. Use a screwdriver to loosen the hose clamp and remove it.
3. Pull out the thermostat. Once the hose clamp is removed, you should be able to pull the thermostat out of the thermostat housing. Be careful not to drop the thermostat.
4. Inspect the thermostat. Look for any cracks or damage to the thermostat. If the thermostat is damaged, it must be replaced.
5. Install the new thermostat. If the thermostat is not damaged, you can reinstall it. Place the thermostat in the thermostat housing and insert the hose clamp. Tighten the hose clamp until it is snug.
