1. Locate the hood release lever. It is usually found inside the car, near the driver's left knee.
2. Pull the hood release lever. This will release the hood latch.
3. Go to the front of the car and lift the hood. Be careful not to drop it on yourself.
4. Prop the hood open. There is usually a prop rod located under the hood that can be used to hold it open.
