Where is the fuse located for lights by gear shift on a 1998 Toyota Corolla?

The fuse for the lights by the gear shift on a 1998 Toyota Corolla is located in the fuse box on the driver's side of the car. To access the fuse box, open the driver's side door and look to the left of the steering wheel. There will be a small, plastic cover that you can remove by pulling on the tab.
