1. Disconnect the battery. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid any electrical accidents during the installation process.
2. Remove the glove compartment. Remove the screws holding the glove compartment in place and carefully remove it from the vehicle.
3. Locate the airbag module. The passenger side airbag module is usually located behind the glove compartment.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors. Disconnect the electrical connectors that are connected to the airbag module.
5. Remove the old airbag module. Remove the mounting bolts or screws holding the airbag module in place and remove the old airbag module from the vehicle.
6. Install the new airbag module. Position the new airbag module in place and secure it using the mounting bolts or screws.
7. Reconnect the electrical connectors. Reconnect the electrical connectors that were disconnected earlier.
8. Test the airbag module. Check that the airbag module is properly connected and that the airbag indicator light on the dashboard illuminates when the ignition is turned on and goes out after a few seconds.
9. Reinstall the glove compartment. Reinstall the glove compartment and secure it with the screws that were removed earlier.
10. Reconnect the battery. Reconnect the battery by attaching the negative terminal to the battery.
