1. Park your car on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Jack up the rear of your car and support it on jack stands.
3. Remove the two bolts that hold the transmission pan in place.
4. Lower the transmission pan and drain the fluid into a drain pan.
5. Locate the speedometer cable at the back of the transmission. It is a black cable with a square-shaped end.
6. Disconnect the speedometer cable from the transmission by pushing down on the release button and pulling the cable out.
7. Remove the old speedometer cable from the car.
8. Insert the new speedometer cable into the transmission and make sure it is securely seated.
9. Connect the speedometer cable to the speedometer head by pushing it in until it clicks into place.
10. Refill the transmission pan with fluid.
11. Replace the transmission pan bolts.
12. Lower the car from the jack stands.
Test the speedometer by driving the car and making sure the speedometer is accurate.
