Tools Needed:
- *Flat head screwdriver*
- *Phillips head screwdriver*
1. Open the hood of your Grand Am.
2. Locate the headlight assembly that needs the bulb replaced. The headlamps are located on either side of the front of the car.
3. Remove the protective cap from the back of the headlight assembly. The protective cap is held in place by a few screws. Use a flat head screwdriver to remove the screws.
4. Unplug the electrical connector from the back of the headlight bulb. The electrical connector is attached to the bulb by a simple clip. Use your fingers to release the clip and unplug the connector.
5. Remove the old headlight bulb from the assembly. The bulb is held in place by a metal spring. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to release the spring and remove the bulb.
6. Install the new headlight bulb into the assembly. Insert the new bulb into the assembly and secure it with the metal spring.
7. Reconnect the electrical connector to the back of the headlight bulb. Attach the connector by pushing it back into place and securing it with the clip.
8. Replace the protective cap on the back of the headlight assembly. Secure the cap in place with the screws you removed earlier.
9. Close the hood of your Grand Am. The headlight bulb replacement is now complete.
