1. Gather the necessary tools and parts.
- Replacement power window motor
- Socket set
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flat-head screwdriver
- Pry bar
- New window regulator (optional)
2. Disconnect the battery.
- This will prevent any electrical accidents from happening while you are working on the window.
3. Remove the door panel.
- Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the door panel.
- Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the door panel off of the door.
4. Remove the old window motor.
- Use a socket set to remove the bolts that hold the motor in place.
- Unplug the electrical connector.
5. Install the new window motor.
- Connect the electrical connector to the new motor.
- Secure the motor with the bolts that you removed in step 4.
6. Test the window motor.
- Reconnect the battery.
- Use the power window switch to raise and lower the window.
- Make sure that the window moves smoothly and doesn't make any strange noises.
7. Reinstall the door panel.
- Snap the door panel back into place.
- Secure it with the screws that you removed in step 2.
