1. Turn off the tractor and wait for it to cool down.
2. Open the hood.
3. Locate the battery. It is usually located on the left side of the engine, near the front.
4. Remove the negative battery cable by loosening the nut or bolt that holds it in place.
5. Remove the positive battery cable by loosening the nut or bolt that holds it in place.
6. Lift the battery out of the tractor.
7. To replace the battery, simply reverse these steps.
