What was the first car to be made?
Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler are recognized as the fathers of the automobile. Benz invented the first internal-combustion engined vehicle—a three-wheeled motor car—in 1885, and Daimler invented a four-wheeled, gasoline-powered automobile one year later. Benz patented his first automobile, the three-wheeled Motorwagen, on January 29, 1886.
