1. Drain the coolant.
* Place a drain pan under the water pump.
* Remove the drain plug from the bottom of the radiator.
* Allow all of the coolant to drain.
2. Disconnect the hoses from the water pump.
* Use a wrench to loosen the hose clamps that hold the hoses in place.
* Remove the hoses from the water pump.
3. Remove the bolts that hold the water pump in place.
* Use a wrench to loosen the bolts that hold the water pump to the engine.
* Remove the bolts.
4. Remove the water pump from the engine.
* Carefully pry the water pump off of the engine.
5. Install the new water pump.
* Before installing the new water pump, apply a thin coat of gasket sealer to the mating surface.
* Position the new water pump on the engine.
* Insert the bolts and tighten them until they are snug.
* Connect the hoses to the water pump.
* Tighten the hose clamps until they are snug.
6. Fill the cooling system with coolant.
* Use a funnel to add coolant to the cooling system.
* Fill the cooling system until it is full.
7. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
* Check for leaks.
* If there are no leaks, turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
* Check the coolant level again and add more coolant if necessary.
