How do you fit a clutch cable to Peugeot 106?

Tools:

- Jack

- Jack stands

- Wrench set

- Pliers

- Screwdriver

- New clutch cable

Instructions:

1. Park the car on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.

2. Jack up the car until you cannot lower it anymore; and ensure safety by supporting it as well with a jack stand just in case the vehicle accidentally goes down.

3. Locate the clutch cable. It is connected to the clutch pedal on one end, and to the clutch fork on the other.

4. Disconnect the clutch cable from the clutch fork. To do this, use a screwdriver to pry up on the cotter pin that holds the cable in place, and then pull the cable out of the fork.

5. Remove the clutch cable from the car. To do this, you will need to unbolt it from the firewall and from the transmission.

6. Install the new clutch cable. Start by attaching it to the transmission, and then to the firewall.

7. Reconnect the clutch cable to the clutch fork. To do this, use a new cotter pin to secure the cable in place.

8. Adjust the clutch cable. To do this, turn the adjustment nut until the clutch pedal feels firm.

9. Test the clutch cable. To do this, start the car and put it in gear. The car should not move if the clutch is depressed.

10. Lower the car and remove the jack stands.
