Air power is the ability to exert influence in, through, and from the air to accomplish strategic, operational, and tactical objectives while denying an adversary that capability. It depends critically on the aerospace technologies to achieve effects in response to changing demands through the exercise of the three air power attributes in varying degrees across the full range of military operations as a means:
- to influence an adversary
- to control or exploit airspace
- to project power
