1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Use a wrench to loosen the nut that holds the negative terminal cable to the battery post, and then remove the cable.
2. Disconnect the positive terminal of the battery. Use a wrench to loosen the nut that holds the positive terminal cable to the battery post, and then remove the cable.
3. Remove the battery hold-down bolt. This bolt is located at the bottom of the battery box, and it holds the battery in place. Use a wrench to loosen the bolt, and then remove it.
4. Lift the battery out of the battery box. Be careful not to drop the battery, as it is heavy.
To reinstall the battery, simply follow the steps in reverse order. Be sure to connect the negative terminal of the battery first, and then the positive terminal.
