Instructions:
1. Park your truck in a safe and well-lit area. Shut off the engine and engage the parking brake.
2. Pop the hood and locate the serpentine belt. This belt is located on the front of the engine and loops around several pulleys, including the crankshaft pulley, power steering pump pulley, alternator pulley, and air conditioning compressor pulley.
3. Use the ratchet and 15 mm socket to loosen the tensioner pulley bolt. Turn the bolt counterclockwise until the belt is loose enough to remove. Be careful not to drop the bolt.
4. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry the belt off the tensioner pulley.
5. Remove the belt from the engine by looping it over the pulleys.
6. Inspect the old belt for any cracks, fraying, or glazing. If the belt is damaged, it must be replaced.
7. Install the new serpentine belt by looping it around the pulleys in the same order that the old belt was removed.
8. Use the ratchet and 15 mm socket to tighten the tensioner pulley bolt until the belt is snug.
9. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any unusual noises or vibrations. If there are any problems, stop the engine and inspect the belt installation.
10. Turn off the engine and double-check that the belt is properly installed and tensioned.
