How to Replace the Battery:
1. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool completely.
2. Open the hood of the Land Rover Discovery.
3. Locate the battery in the passenger side, rear of the engine compartment.
4. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery using the socket wrench.
5. Disconnect the positive terminal from the battery.
6. Remove the battery hold-downs and lift the battery out of the vehicle.
7. Place the new battery in the vehicle and secure it with the battery hold-downs.
8. Reconnect the positive battery terminal and then reconnect the negative terminal.
9. Start the engine and test the battery to ensure it is functioning properly.
