How do you change a head light on 1992 Chevy silverado?

You will need:

*Replacement headlight bulb (check your owner's manual for the correct size/type)

*Phillips screwdriver

*Flathead screwdriver

*10mm wrench

Instructions:

1.)Park your truck in a level spot and turn off the engine. Allow the headlights to cool down if they have been on recently.

2.)Open the hood of your truck.

3.)Locate the headlight assembly that needs to be replaced. The headlights are located behind the front grille, on either side of the vehicle.

4.)Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws holding the headlight assembly in place. There will be two screws on the top and one on the bottom.

5.)Once the screws are removed, carefully pull the headlight assembly straight out of the truck. Be careful not to drop the assembly.

6.)Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the headlight assembly by pressing the release tab and pulling the connector straight out.

7.)Use the flathead screwdriver to pry open the retaining clips holding the headlight bulb in place. There will be two clips, one on each side of the bulb.

8.)Once the clips are pried open, remove the old headlight bulb from the assembly by pulling it straight out.

9.)Insert the new headlight bulb into the assembly by pushing it straight into the socket. Make sure the bulb is seated properly and secured by the retaining clips.

10.)Reconnect the electrical connector to the back of the headlight assembly by pushing it straight in until it clicks into place.

11.)Replace the headlight assembly by sliding it back into the truck. Make sure the assembly is seated properly and secured by the screws.

12.)Use the Phillips screwdriver to tighten the screws holding the headlight assembly in place.

13.)Repeat steps 4-12 to change the other headlight bulb if needed.

14.)Close the hood of your truck and you're done!
